인생에 있어서 중요한 것과 중요하지 않은 것, 필요한 것과 필요하지 않은 것을 구분할 줄 아는 분별력보다 더 중요한 것은 없다.
대부분의 사람들이 이 분별력이 없어서 쉽게 살아갈 수 있는 삶을 힘들고 고통스럽게 살아가고 있다.
분별력만 가지고 있다면 우리는 수많은 인생의 실수와 실패로부터 자신을 안전하게 지켜갈 수 있다.
우리는 그 분별력을 하나님의 말씀 속에 들어 있는 진리를 이해함으로서만 소유할 수 있다.
그때그때 자신의 처지를 살펴서 지니고 있을 것과 지니지 않아야 할 것을 구분하여 꼭 지닐 것만을 가지고 살아감으로서 삶의 짐을 최대한 가볍게 하여 살아가야 편안한 마음을 가지고 살아갈 수 있다.
행복의 조건은 얼마나 많은 것을 가지고 있느냐에 있지 않고 불필요한 것으로부터 얼마만큼 자유로울 수 있는가에 달려 있음을 명심하라.
“My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity.`
`Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.
Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.`
